That's too funny.  Jiminex is so stupid he thinks Al Queda are

I don't speak for Olson.  But I will answer that.  I don't make
excuses for our enemies.  I object to torturing them or anyone
else -- not because they don't deserve it but because it will ruin
*my* country.

That's foolish.  No one suggested coddling anyone, especially not in
ASA.  I said we owe it to ourselves (not to them) to figure out what
it is we've done to provoke them.  As to crushing them, it's probably
impossible even if you had the right simply because Islam is so
widespread and is growing so phenomenally.  Every time our military
kills another innocent Iraqi, every time we arrest another
non-combatant, in fact even when we legitimately sieze combatants, we
incite a dozen more previously peaceful Muslims to take up arms
against us.

Learning from Bush's mountains of mistakes does apply though.
Unfortunately, he doesn't quite grasp the concept.

The problem with that thinking is you don't realize that allowing
Bush to continue unabated will eventually lead to beheadings by our
own government and the victims won't just be Muslims.  Think only
Persians are evil enough to hang a 16-year old girl for the "crime"
of having been raped?  You have no idea what right-wing, phony
Christians are capable of.
