I've already stated which charities I support. You can look up the
post in Google if you're interested.

So you figure if a woman is poor and on welfare she's using drugs?

Oh, well. Tough luck, kids.

Soeaking of ignorant, I think you meant "of" the teachings.

Sleep well. The wonderful thing about Usenet is you can come back
later and add more stuff.

I guess it depends which verse you single out. Most people regard
the Christian faith as one of peace and love. And yet...
"And he said unto them, Thus saith The Lord God of Israel, Put every
man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate
throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man
his companion, and every man his neighbour" (Exodus 32:27 KJV)
"Thus saith The Lord of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to
Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from
Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they
have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and
suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." (1 Samuel 15:2-3 KJV)
[It even sanctioned killing Jiminex in the last phrase]
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,
and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall
have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death" (Revelation 21:8 KJV)
[This verse, in the 19th word, apparently sanctions killing Olson]
Then there's this passage from the 25th chapter of Numbers:
3. Israel joined himself to Baal-peor: and the anger of Yahweh was
kindled against Israel.
4. Yahweh said to Moses, Take all the chiefs of the people, and hang
them up to Yahweh before the sun, that the fierce anger of Yahweh may
turn away from Israel.
5. Moses said to the judges of Israel, Kill you everyone his men who
have joined themselves to Baal-peor.
6. Behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought to his
brothers a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of
all the congregation of the children of Israel, while they were
weeping at the door of the tent of meeting.
7. When Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest,
saw it, he rose up from the midst of the congregation, and took a
spear in his hand;
8. and he went after the man of Israel into the pavilion, and thrust
both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her
body. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
In the Joshua story of Jericho the Israelites were instructed to kill
every man, woman and child except the family of Rahab. Note that
modern translations use the expression "devote to the Lord" but the
Hebrew word is understood to mean kill or utterly destroy.
King David was famous for his faith in God and his expertise at
killing unbelievers:
After this, David subdued and humbled the Philistines by conquering
Gath, their largest city. David also conquered the land of Moab. He
made the people lie down on the ground in a row, and he measured them
off in groups with a length of rope. He measured off two groups to
be executed for every one group to be spared. The Moabites who were
spared became David's servants and brought him tribute money. [2
Samuel 8:1-2 NLT]
I could go on. The point you need to see is that the Christian Bible
has numerous passages where killing unbelievers is not only discussed
but endorsed. Yet anyone who calls himself a Christian considers
Christianity a peaceful religion whose followers are willing to "turn
the other cheekl" as Jesus admonished. To understand this you have
to read and understand theentire Scripture and that would take more
than a lifetime.
The Koran certainly does contain verses which endorse killing
infidels. But in order to understand the Muslim faith you would need
to read the entire Koran -- not just the few verses which Muslim
hating talk radio hosts like to quote.

Indeed. The fact that the document was "discovered" by one of the
same switftboat liars who attacked Kerry. Come on. You can do
better than that, can't you? I guess not.
