Definitely not. Jiminex has to be stopped! :^)

For the record, you're wrong.

You do realize that will be around 3-1/2 years after the Second
Coming, don't you?

Oh, yeah. That'll calm them down. After all, it worked so well in
Lebanon.

We also don't use it in law enforcement because it's
unconstitutional. We don't allow abusive and degrading treatment of
American citizens because it's wrong. The fact that the people the
CIA and the US military have taken are not citizens doesn't make it
OK. They are uinder the control of American government agencies. As
such, we are obligated to treat them humanely, not because of who
they are but because of what our country is -- or rather what it was
before Bush.

We don't allow anyone to be taken into custody and held without a
hearing for more than 72 hours. In many states it's 24 hours. Yet
we keep the people we've captured in Iraq and Afganistan for years
without trial.

Torture is worse than useless in any circumstances. If we allow our
government or our military to use it we have already lost the war.
Some believe Bush War II is a fight between democracy and evil,
religious crazies who hate our way of life. Allow Bush and other
horrible miscreants like him to continue and democracy is the loser.
The great thing about America isn't our "purple mountains' majesty".
It's our freedom. It's not our "fruited plain". It's our personal
rights. Freedom is inversely proportional to government power. We
have freedom of speech (for now) so government can't silence us.
Give the Bush government the authority to prohibit speech and
American citizens lose. Give the government the authority to beat
one prisoner and one day they'll beat you.

Some years ago a new government in Germany claimed that "foreign
agents" were out to destroy the good Arian people. They said that
these foreigners were ruining the German way of life -- that they had
to be stopped, no matter what measures were used. Very few people
spoke up against that government and within a short time it turned
Germany into the worst dictatorship in all history. At first they
took the Jews. The Catholics, Protestants, Gypsies and most other
groups said nothing. After all, they weren't Jewish. After a while
they took the Gypsies. The Catholics and Protestants said nothing.
They weren't gypsies. Pretty soon they started arresting priests and
anyone who openly practiced their religion, especially anyone who
spoke a single word against what was happening. By the time their
turn came there was no one left to speak up for the Protestants.

You may think that can't happen here -- that God protects America
more than He did other nations because we call ourselves a "Christian
Nation". You have only to read the history of Israel -- the Chosen
people -- to see how foolish that belief is. Democracy and freedom
are not free. They're not cheap. They have to be protected and even
more so from our own government than against some "foreigners".
