while there are certainly bad police officers (a police officer is 3 times
more likely to commit a felony than a civilian CCW holder), i believe they
are the rare exception and not the rule.  police officers put themselves in
harms way every day for miserable pay, little appreciation, and even less
recognition.  they deal with the bottom element of our society every day so
that the rest of us dont have to.  im very thankful for what they do, even
when im the one on the receiving end of the traffic citation.  if i could
afford the cut in pay, i would do it myself.
