First of all, he didn't just show up. And as for the Purple Hearts,
what they show more than anything, is to re-affirm that he was in
combat.

His crew didn't think that he just showed up. And unfortunately for
one person (the VC he killed Feb 28, 1969), and fortunately for his
crew, he did far more than "show up" that day.

But as a Kerry-hater, you ignore all that, just because you don't like
the guy. Fine.

But if you distort/disparage his service, or that of anyone who served
with me, you'll forgive me if I take exception and point out the truth
you try so hard to ignore.
