Re: Want to move Brinks keypad
first off, they will only charge you $45 for the first half hour if they do
it....
if you do it, POWER THE SYSTEM DOWN.....if the system is not powered
down, as soon as you disconnect the keypad, the panel will send a
keypad supervisory signal, which brinks will call about. it has
nothing to do with brinks "placing the system on test"!!!!!!!
second....don't know what part of the country you live in so i can't
advise about your state fire codes, but it is brinks policy to run
all keypads (and smokes) in 18/4 wire....so if by moving the keypad,
the wire is not long enough, you could run into a few problems....
