I've changed them and never found one that was soldered in. I took
some pictures of both boards and on the new board they removed the
battery and in it's place was a reset button, where the old RAM
Battery jumper was is where the new capacitor is.

They changed a few things on the new "enhanced" board and supposedly
some of the older keypads wouldn't work although I never had that
problem, also the receiver connector changed. If you have the
Installation manual it's detailed in section 2-14 and 2-15 although
that doesn't mention the battery. I have no idea how many of the new
boards were out there but I doubt they made many since I almost always
ran into the old ones.
