On my own installations I used to place the RJ31X inside the panel to
prevent tampering.  Before I started doing that every so often we'd have a
"late to test" report at the CS and I'd find that someone had unplugged the
jack from the RJ31X.  One client used the RJ31X to plug in a telephone while
working in the basement.  Then he wondered why the rest of his phones went
dead.  :^)
