Then you missed the whole point of the story - that's a shame, it's a
really good one.

And I thought I was cynical.

It was HIS mind he had time to change, he has no control over mine -
believing his change is honest is my own decision.

Besides, all change is premised upon some level of anxiety, however minor.

I'm certainly glad my perspective on life is not as rigid and black and
white.
