We need to start holding company's and installers responsible
criminally in cases like this then they would get the message.
Just holding a license or being qualified means nothing unless theirs
some teeth behind it.
an electrician in CT went to prison after wiring a 120 volt heater
to 220 volts and fire killed young girl
this man was a state certified electrical inspector to boot. who
wired in heater with no permit.
Here in Pa a mechanic went to prison for falsifying inspection reports
which caused a death when brakes failed.
when installers realize consequences then we will have professional
installers and techs
Until then I just hope I get there and find the problem and correct it
before some one dies.
I follow it up with certified letters to AHJ , Insurance company's ,
installing company's putting them on notice
some one needs to start paying attention.
I get all kind of grief over it but it is only way we are going to
prevent deaths is little bit of realty.
