 From everything he's said, that's exactly what's going to happen.
He'll "go away" in a few months.  But before he does I want him to know
that he's forgiven and that I don't bear him ill will.  Whether Pete,
you, Jack, or Doug reciprocate is of no consequence to either him, me,
or anyone else here.  I just know how *I* feel about it and I'm happy to
have made the choice that's more in keeping with my personal values and
beliefs.  Robert and I have frequently been at "loggerheads", and for
what?  So the "noise" can continue?  Many of us have been caught up in
this battle and all of the issues (past and some of the present) seem
"petty" in light of what Robert's going through today.  I wouldn't want
to wish that on anyone.

He's made peace with me and I see no point in either promoting or
fostering further animosity.

Leonard Nimoy said it best (in his role as Mr. Spock on Star Trek):
"Live long and prosper".  That wish goes out to all of you.
