Well it seems we disagree on a lot of things. I don't believe killing
someone ever solved anything. The US is faced with that on a daily
basis in Iraq. 100's of thousands of Iraqis have paid the ultimate
price and yet the insurgency goes on. Someone has to put a stop to it.
Someone has to sit down and negotiate a peace. I don't think more
violence is going to solve the problem. Of course, we could just nuke
the place...

I'm familiar with it... Comparing me to a "sheep" without knowing me is
about as intelligent as a response as I've come to expect in this
newsgroup (from a core of people that includes all the regulars).

I see "danger" everywhere, and like you, I avoid those areas and
situations...

I think you'll find that the "real world" needs more than just a few
"real voices". You can't find justice at the end of a gun.

Whoa, buddy. I'm sure many would view a "conscientious objector" as "a
coward". I, on the other hand would say it takes guts to stand up
before someone and say: "No, I won't kill that person."

> Contrary to what you believe, people are NOT equal.

To me, they *are* unless they prove themselves otherwise. I believe
everyone should have the benefit of the doubt. It's what our entire
legal justice system is based upon and what my Father (and his Father)
fought to defend. They didn't fight so that a "chosen few" could decide
to invade another sovereign country "on a whim".

The law and the Constitution forms the basis of everything that we are.
A "free and enlightened" society. The "Bushwacker's" have you
completely brain-washed, don't they? You've gone over to the "Dark Side".

Thank God for our gun laws. When I think of some of the hair-brained,
hair trigger idiots running around south of the border (and all of them
"packin'") I shudder.

It's just simply a matter of having a "frontier" mentality... Shoot
first and ask questions later...

Neither do I.

Check!

Ummmm.... We don't have "mass shooting incidents" here (at least
there's never been one in British Columbia).

> and you wouldn't.

Are you kidding me? You really would "shoot first", wouldn't you??

Same here...

That's a good "rule". It's also one we both live by.

Check... I'd lay out the guy for the cops to corral.

On the contrary, my "honour" frequently gets me into "conflicts".

Well, let's hope it never comes down to it, eh?

You defeat your adversary "your way", and I'll just make sure he's not
going to be able to wield anything more powerful than a soda straw which
he'll have to drink through for the rest of his life.

Sure, Jim... You can start any time now... When is it you're going to
be finished "mopping up" in Iraq??

Ben had a lot of good sayings, and sage advice. I'm saving a lot of
pennies for one... However... I've yet to meet a "negotiator" that's a
"coward". And I don't see how a little prayer now and then could
possibly make a bad situation worse.

Yeah... Kill 'em all... Let's nuke the bastards...

Nahhh.... I'd still prefer a tall cold mug of Koenig Ludwig Weissbier.
