Re: Attention America!!!

The food at Earl's is great but it's the damn noisiest place I've been...so
noisey it's distracts from the food. I can't eat there.

| You obviously haven't been to Arizona or Colorado, two great States that
| feature Earl's Restaurants. And the next time you're anywhere near New
| York State, another *Canadian* restaurant has made some inroads...
| Swiss Chalet. Then they're "Joey's Seafood". They've got the biggest
| US Market penetration of any "Canadian" restaurant (they even have one
| in Florida). And no... none of them feature Polar Bear testicles
| which, by the way I have had. Well... not *real* Polar Bear. There's a
| pub in Yellowknife that served a cubed chicken dish they call "Polar
| Bear testicles" many years ago. Don't know if they're still around. :-)
|
| As for "British fair", I've always enjoyed their pub food. Cornish
| pasties for one (spiced meat wrapped in pastry and not the "stick-ons"
| Roger's thinking Cornish girls wear instead of bras). If you've ever
| had fish 'n chips, you're enjoying "British food" particularly when they
| use beer in the batter (a specialty of the "Joey's" mentioned in the
| previous paragraph) - yumm! Then there's "bangers and mash" (spiced
| sausage and mashed potatoes). If you have the "real thing" in a pub,
| they'll serve it with "mushy peas" which I just can't stand. :-)
