Actually, it's sudden changes in speed that kill.  For example, traveling at
100 kph has no ill effects on the human body.  Suddenly decreasing that
speed to 0 kph, for example half-way through a brick wall, can be a bad
thing.

Likewise, FO should be fine riding his bicycle at 6 mph.  Suddenly
accelerating to 280 mph upon contact with the nose gear of an inverted 737
would be a [hmm]....  :^)
