Re: Lufkin Security Experiances

Yes im in mass, i just heard back from one of the ebayers that purchased a
Vista 20P from them, and he said he has run into installation and
programming problems, and he wasn't clear on whether or not Lufkin was able
to help. By the sound of it he's looking for an installation co in the St
Paul area so im assuming he had problems with Lufkin.
Lufkin did answer all my questions quickly today via email and i was hoping
their support was top notch if i needed it.
This one guy said he had done wiring before, and didn't think installing the
Vista 20P would be that big a deal. He said he was pretty surprised. Now
this is just one persons experience so im not sure what to think about it.
I do field service and have worked in maintenance most of my life and also
run a small PC repair business and have dabbled in some programming and site
design. I cant imagine that with the right documentation that installing a
system is rocket science. Im sure if the wrong hardware or wiring is used or
proper installation practices aren't followed then problems could come up.
Are the installs on a 20P easy enough for the DIY'r with a decent technical
background? I assumed they were.
