That's exactly what we *are* talking about. A panel that's UL Listed as
a resi burg/fire *panel*. To make it a listed *fire alarm system*
entails a whole different set of rules (and definitions). Hooking your
110VAC smoke alarms (while not *recommended*) to your UL (or "non-UL")
listed resi burg/fire panel does not make it a *fire alarm system*.
There's nothing in the code that supports (or even comes close to)
Robert's claim. Even posting the relevant section concerning the very
thing we're discussing here (connecting 110VAC smoke alarms to a
security system/control panel) doesn't seem to have any effect. Like I
said before... Robert's "got the bit between his teeth" and he's gonna
run with it until he drops...
