I was in Rio for about 5 weeks shortly after 9/11, celebra... err,
recuperating from my divorce.  One day the local newspaper, O Globo, had two
famous images on  the front page.  One was of a snaggle-toothed Afghan woman
with an open berka (or is that burka, Tom?).  The headline said "Liberdade"
which means freedom in Portuguese.  On the same page was a picture of a
Brazilian model wearing a "fio dental" (dental floss) bikini.  Beneath the
photo was the word, "Normal," which means the same as in English.  :^)
