RHC: Jack, I think you missed my point. Gas prices ARE rising and damn
quickly. Just last night, our pump prices went up 3 cents a litre
OVERNIGHT (this equates to about 12 cents a US gallon). I'm not
suggesting that we don't have to take into account these rising costs;
however, at the moment they don't represent that much of an increase
in the overall cost of running a business. Perhaps if you have a large
number of vehicles on the road, it may well be different. If you're
looking into the costs of doing business next year in order to set
your rates, yes they will have an effect. And once the economy adjusts
to take into account these costs, every damn thing will be going up
right across the board, and THAT will affect costs far more. But when
you put your immediate increased gas costs into your annual cost
spreadsheet, they aren't as great as they first appear. Next
year...well, that may be a far different thing !! And there is no
doubt it will only get far worse with the Chinese demand for fuel
helping drive the price up !

My so called "socialist bent" aside, I'm surprised at your "come
back". You should know by now I can't be insulted. I would have
expected a more intelligent response from you.
