Re: LOCKED PANEL

My custom houses all have my phone number displayed as idle-text in the
keypad, but I don't use those systems in the small-mid range houses. These
particular homes were in that range and all had Vista systems...so no idle
text display.

| True, but it's a dirty trick of exactly the sort we expect from
| Sonitrash (they often did it), Brinks and lowlife independant outfits
| like Jiminex.

| I used to make it a point to attend "open houses" whenever any of my
| clients were selling. I frequently found Sonitrash stickers on
| panels I installed. I would of course remove them. I also made sure
| my decals and business cards were on the panel door and inside the
| cabinet.
|
| Napco allows a custom 2-line message to replace the standard system
| ready screen. If a client informed us they were moving I would
| change the screen to "For Service" and "(nnn) nnn-nnnn" (our phone
| number). The keypad would alternate between the two lines.

|
| It's not always the realtors who are at fault. Sonitrash used to
| teach new salesmen to go to every open house they could find and
| plaster their stickers on competitors' systems. There was an outfit
| called "M&M Security" not too far from us. Their reps used to do the
| same thing. They also used to bad-mouth every competitor around. I
| routinely beat them on sales though. Last year (or was it the one
| before last?) I got a call from a regional distributor seeking my
| business. I chatted with the rep for a while and soon learned he had
| once worked for M&M. I decided not to give the jerk any business.
