Hmmm, I always thought that first ....... forgiveness must be sought.
Without seeking forgiveness, there can be none.

Contrition, remorse, shame, apology  isn't that all part of the
forgiving process?
With out that, then forgiveness is simply a carte blanche to continue
the bad
conduct and only makes the forgiver feel good about himself.
Forgiveness
without remorse doesn't seem to me to have any other purpose. And since
I'm
sure I didn't like getting "smacked" the first time, I don't think that
turning the
other cheek to get smacked again, is a good idea. So what's the point
in
forgiving someone who doesn't give a damn if you do or don't?

I think that if you get smacked once, the next time they come back,
you're
pretty damn stupid if you haven't picked up a good sized stick, between
then
and now ..... just in case.
