During Shabos and Yom Tov, no.  The families walk to synagogue.

If your religion is that central to your life, you don't choose an apartment
on the twentieth floor or buy a home more than a Sabbath day's journey
(2,000 cubits, which is something like half a mile) from the synagogue.

Bear in mind that these people almost never proselytize.  They won't tell
you what you can do on the Sabbath.  In fact, most couldn't care less what
the goyim do.  They only try to follow these rules themselves because they
believe it's what God wants.
