rant: clients

Sheesh some people are totally annoying.

This guy (I suppose you might call him a client - but not really) calls me
last sept. he moved into a house with one of my systems in it. Told me to
call his wife at home which I did. They were leaving tomorrow and wanted
system monitored...ok fine...I get them all set up in CS, told her I'd come
down tomorrow morning first thing and teach them how to use it and test the
system. She says ok, but call me back tonight first. So I call her back and
they say they want to wait till they get back from vacation to get it
monitored...but would I program a code in for them...ok fine...

Two months later...same scenario only he now wants a dozen references...ok
fine...I set up permission for clients to call him. Ok here we go again. Can
you come tomorrow...sure...my rates are xxx. for service and xxx for battery
and whatever parts. I can come tomorrow. Oh tomorrow's no good we're leaving
tonight. Yah right...you'll have to call me when you get back (it was like
9pm and they live 40 miles one way.

Two MORE months go by. He calls again...we'd really like to get this set
up...I go through all the same shit again...he says call his wife to set up
appt...I call her like 10 x for 2 days...no answer, and no call backs...so I
figure they blew me off again.

Needless to say this scene was repeated at least 2 MORE times.

Now he emails me last night...can you come tomorrow or friday morning "I
will pay you 50 bucks plus 15 for the battery". YAH RIGHT DOOD. Not only am
I supposed to crawl for this guy but he will dictate what he will PAY me?
Shit.
