Thanks Simon, that's a really useful breakdown.

I would be using hdml and 5.1, and network wise it would be wired but the
elite is 100 more than the arcade so not sure that makes sense just for the
cables?

If I got an arcade, and If I can use a USB HDD later on, then that option

always there should the need arise.

I had a bit of a read earlier and it seems the 360 can play divx ok now
(which I had in my head they couldn't).

It might be a good option. Does anyone want to chip in with an argument
against? ;)
