best HD media player to replace xbmc

Hello everyone,

I'd like to replace my xbox/xbmc setup with a more modern HD compatible
media player.

I've been looking at Popcorn Hour which seems quite good (I hovered over
"Buy" on the recent iBood offer but didn't go for it)

Is there anything better that's available now?

If not, where's the best place to buy a Popcorn Hour from?

I'm also keen on a HD satellite receiver and one option that might cover
both bases is a Dreambox DM800HD which has network capabilities but I'm not
sure how good it is as a media player. Has anyone here got one?
