RE: Re: [OT] Hosted exchange?

Yup, - works fairly well, - within its capabilities of course...

It basically runs as an outlook add-in, and synchronises the calendar
items of whatever mailbox that instance of outlook is currently
connected to with the web-based google calendar, - it does this
bi-directionally, so any items in the google web calendar are also
synced back into the Exchange calendar. Thus if you either have two
machines running outlook connected to different calendars, or use the
same client but flip between different profiles, you can effectively
sync between two Exchange calendars. It doesn't update 'real-time' - you
schedule it to sync on a periodic basis, - I have mine set to every 2
hours, so at various times during the day it wakes up & sync's whatever
calendar I'm connected to at that moment with the web. I have it
installed on my home PC which is permanently connected to my home
mailbox, and also on my laptop which I use to connect to both home &
work servers (mostly the work one of course!). Items I put in either
Exchange calendar thus turn up in the other one within about 4 hours. It
isn't particularly intelligent in its handling of duplicate items, so if
you have already entered the same appointment manually in each calendar,
you will end up with two copies of that item in both calendars, but
that's a one-off job to rectify after the initial synchronisation pass.
