While, we're at it, I'd like to get your input on Node 0.

So far, I've got :
- Synology NAS Server with 500GB SATA drive
- 2 x Lacie 500GB d2 hard drives (connected to NAS)
- Aviosys IP Camera CCTV server (only drive CAM connected at the
mo, but have pre-wired the lounges)
- Comfort Ultra 1 Alarm & HomeAutomation system
- Netgear 384PN WiFi modem router

And I will be adding :
- 16 or 24 port Gigabit router
- Xantech multiroom IR connecting block (which I won on Ebay from
Chris Purves in these forums - Cheers mate!)
- Sky Loft box

Now... I'm no where near as hardcore a HA as some of you guys (can't
justify 150 CAT5's!), but should I consider racking ?

I think only the lacie drives and Gigabit router can be rack
mounted. My Node0 is under the stairs and isn't the biggest of
spaces ('cause of SWMBO's numerous shoes), but I think a rack would
add some convenience and give it that professional look.

I don't know anything about Racks and sizes.

Should I be considering one and if so, are there entry level ones I
should consider ?

Whatever the case, I'll be updating the 'Wot no Wires?' thread, in
the coming weeks with more pictures. I want to put a HA emphasis on
it, so I'll include the Node 0 pictures when I start work on it.

My new speakers arrive this afternoon. So, will post some pics early
next week.

Cheers,

Balraj
