Hi Marcus

Meant to reply to this when you posted and then plain forgot, sorry.
Firstly, I would recommend you look at the aquavision screen, it has a
better plain finish (No advertising text just a tiny logo which
incorporates a standby LED) and has a number of finishes (Ice white,
mirror etc). I've seen both side by side and IMHO the picture quality is
better on the aquavision. Also has discreets for inputs which the
tilevision does not (Unless they have changed the spec).

As for location I would go for the 'rest of room position'. However, I'm
not sure your location will be nice in the bath. Our bathroom is a
similar layout to yours and we have the LCD on the wall opposite the
false wall. It can be seen comfortably from the loo, sink, shower and
bath. Our false wall also has a large heated mirror so you can even see
it when using the basin. I know it's a reverse image but you really
don't notice while watching BBC breakfast news, MTV or whatever whilst
cleaning your teeth :-).

We have a Xantech pad on the wall for control which also turns the LCD
on and off using a discreet and macro, works really well. I still have
not sourced a good waterproof learning remote. I did manage to track
down the UK importer/supplier of the Balboa Dolphin
http://www.balboa-instruments.com
but never got round to ordering from
my searching it seems the only 8in1 learning waterproof remote at a
sensible cost. If we sit in the bath (double ended bath ;-)) we use the
pronto from the bedroom, yeh one day it will fall in :-) The problem
with our screen position is that only one person can see it so you fight
over who gets which end. I guess though that's an improvement over
fighting over who gets the taps in their back ;-)

Drop me a mail off-list if you want to see some pictures (Nooooo, of the
bathroom!!!!).

Rob

P.S. Every bathroom design we had done advised AGAINST raising the bath
and putting in steps. It will make the room look smaller. (apparently?)

P.P.S. No connection to aquavision etc bla etc.

P.P.P.S It's the best HA job I've ever done and I'm itching to do the
guest bathroom but it cost the GDP of a small country to do even with me
doing all the labour :-(

P.P.P.P.S No more P.S's :-)
