RE: CCTV equipment
I have one of these cameras, 3.6mm lens and from the roof of my house
I
can see the whole side of my VW Transporter van. Not quite what I was
after, I even tried to work it out and still got it wrong! Nice camera
though.
I also agree about the spiders! Had a fright the other night when a
spider appeared at the same time on 2 cameras which were about 1 foot
apart! Bloody big spider I thought but turned out to be 2 identical
spiders of a type I had not seen before. Have not tried the Vaseline bit
yet though.
I also have about 4 of these, very reasonable,

And one of these,
http://www.henrys.co.uk/cctv/100ptz-cctv-cameras.htm
which I am assured
by Henry's that it will go to pre-set positions but I can not get it to
work, good during day but crap at night as it is colour only.
I also have 4 cheap bullet cameras which are quite good at night from
Maplins,

All connected to Geovision.
Hope this helps,
B.

That would be me !!
Thinking of getting
iTuner Spectra8 card (works with Zoneminder on Linux)
and these sony night/day cameras
http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/cctv%20cameras.htm#CC70
Very confused on lens though - they seem to offer 4,8 and 12mm. I want
one
each for the front and back gardens (10m x 4m and 10m x 14m ) , one for
the
side passage (2m x 10m) and one for the front door.
