I'm currently renovating (i.e. installing after ripping it all out 3
years =
ago!)
our family bathroom. One of the things I'm wanting to include is a TV in
th=
e wall
near the bath.

Still got to make a final decision of position.. either end of bath (1),
ni=
ce for in
the bath but not visible in the rest of the room (and tricky to do since
it=
s a solid
brick wall, or along back wall (2) which would be easier and viewable from
=
anywhere=20
in room, although in the bath would actually be the worst because you be
lo=
oking at
it from a 50-60 degree angle side on..

(view using a fixed pitch font i.e. courier)

I was seriously tempted to put a normal TFT monitor in the wall with a=20
toughened glass panel sealing it... but after much soul searching I think
I'll bite the bullet and pay for one of the ready made units like
TileVisio=
n.
Mainly because of the Safety aspect and the fact the kit has all the parts
=
etc
whereas if I do it then it'll never actually get finished!

Has anyone tried the TileVision 17" model that LetsAutomate sell for
=A3129=
9 ?
What is the quality of the picture like.. after my experience with the DELL
WS2600 LCD TV I'm nervous about buying another LCD TV without seeing it
fir=
st hand.
My main issue (apart from price!) is that of control. In this day and age
t=
he
built in analogue tuner is pretty much redundant as I'd want to feed it via
a freeview box and MediaServer. The remote that comes with it only has
butt=
ons
for TV (analogue) AV switch and teletext.. how am I going to be able to
con=
trol
TiVo/XBOX (xbmc)/FreeView from the bath ? I suppose what I need is a
waterp=
roof
8 in 1 learning remote.. maybe take a non waterproof one and pump it full
o=
f=20
silicon ?
