Re: Geovision questions

Yep, going to try that as it dawned on me afterwards.
I presume that using the DSP card takes the load off the PC as it's=20
processed via the DSP and straight out to tv etc, but as i'm trying=20
to get my system up and running at the moment, i'm going to give=20
that a whirl as i have tv-out on this machine so see how useable it=20
is.

I'm currently having problems with getting it working again though.
Worked fine on XP, then i went to 2k after a system crash, and it=20
came up with "Micro-P version not compatible".

That shows that one of the chips needs swapping out.
As it worked on XP before, i'm re-installing XP at moment to see if=20
she fires up again....fingers crossed.

I'll then try the tv-out setup and also the remote view and see=20
which option falls in line best.
If still not happy, i'll try Geovision to see if i can use a DSP=20
card as well as more than 4 cameras ,even though currently i have 3,=20
I may chuck in a couple more cheapos in the house for things like=20
watching the dogs when i'm at work etc ;) lol

Aside to this, are there legal requirements when you have CCTV=20
outside your house ?
My next door neighbour who is bane of my life is getting a bit upset=20
that i have a PTZ that is able to look over his fence.
Why he thinks I would waste my time watching what he does is beyond=20
me.
I've put these systems up to protect my cars and be able to see who=20
is at the front door etc.
He's one of these that get's lawyers letters sent to me (last time=20
becuase i had rocks/boulders in MY front garden that his kids kept=20
jumping off and hurt themselves.
I laughed and told him i'll see him in court as the whole point was=20
the boulders (decorative mind) were to stop his kids scratching my=20
cars as they went on my pathway with bikes etc, and for his mrs to=20
stop driving on my garden becuase she can't park properly.
I just want to know if there is any legal requirement, as in theory,=20
yes my PTZ could view if i rotated it 180 degrees, but it's not=20
there for that, it's there for my security.

Cheers
Geraint.
