I would avoid the SOHO 10" stuff and stick with a normal 19" rack
if
possible. If you go the compact route, you will be seriously restricting
your choice of devices to put in it.
Also, 19" gear tends to be a lot cheaper than the equivalent 10"
version.
Let Ebay be your friend! I bought a new 6U 19" cabinet from an Ebay
store
(about £60 IIRC, including a shelf for cable modem etc and extra rackmount
nuts & bolts too), and I also acquired used 24 and 16 way 19" CAT5
patch
panels for £12 the pair! I didn't see any 10" gear on there at all.
