You misunderstand - my problem ATM is no access to the box, remote or
otherwise
(apart from the firewall blocking SSH issue from work, there is also the
fact
that I did not turn it on again after the powercut last night - and it was
only
yesterday while fiddly with the box that I turned off the bios option to
boot
up after lost power is restored coz I'd never need it coz we never have
power
cuts :))

Still needs port 5900 though.  Yes, is blocked from work.

too much pain for too little gain man!  I have no idea what I'm going to do
with this box really, but it needs to involve the minimum amount of effort
since I have bugger all free time......

To keep SWMBO happy, I'd need to
a) not have brought my mobile/pda/anything else in the first place
b) promise to look after the sprogs for the entire holiday myself
c) give her a couple of grand to spend on health/beauty products
