15 quid for pulling a cable, I am definitely in the wrong business. In an
unplastered house I would have thought that a run of cable would take at
most 15 minutes to do properly (i.e. secured to the frame, pulled through
the back boxes etc etc) so this puts the sparkie on 50 quid an hour. I
really don't know what to suggest, you are being told by the housing
company
to use a qualified electrician and he is either ripping you off or has no
experience of this type of work or simply does not want to do it. This is
going to sound nuts, but I think you will be better off retro-fitting, I
doubt there are many on this list who would have HA if it cost this much.
