Back to specifics, are we ?
The obsolescence argument you are trying to make is specious with respect
to INSTEON vis-a-vis X-10.
A Beta VCR will not play VHS tapes but INSTEON will play with X-10 in its
compatibility mode (and is less expensive, more reliable, better built,
better ergonomics, also RF, more flexible, faster, etc.)
