MS XP Media Center Edition (MCE) reaches 14 million units shipped

That's a growing base for a proletarian HA platform with prices closer to
the XP Home than XP Profession (although MCE is a superset of PRO).

In MCE Vista, MS  fixed the 'domain join' problem that MCE XP had

so I plan to test it out in the near future.

Mouse and touchscreen performance (truly crummy in XP MCE) are also said to
be improved and Tablet compatibility added -- all of which should be of
interest to HA's in general.
