Re: Connect home audio receiver to computer



Tony, You're not understanding the difference between high and low impedance
inputs/outputs.  The only thing you should connect to the speaker outputs is
speakers which are low impedance (4-8 ohms).  Everything else is high
impedance (70k ohms). With this in mind, just connect the line out from the
receiver to the line in on the card and line in on rec. to line out on card.
Think of it as flow in a hose, in to out and out to in.  Using the tape
monitor jacks will do fine but there are other configurations you could use
as well. Keep in mind, to hear what is playing from the card, the monitor
button needs to be in. Hope this helps.
