Hi All,

For me it has come to the time to pull the plug!!
As of this week I am no longer in the business.

It is and has been a very stressful time. As I have
explained to some, the business has been very personal.
Stepping aside and letting others takeover what I have
been doing for 34 years is difficult, but necessary!!

My phone has been ringing from customers/friends everyday.
From "What do I do NOW!!" to "Thanks for the years!!" and
other stuff.

It is something that will happen to all of us, including Bob
for a second time when he closes up the Machine Shop. It is
part of life that can't be avoided.

FWIW I decided to just shutdown and walkaway. Although it was
not a full back out or closing the door. I am still trying
to assist those that need a little extra time or insight to
certain issues. But, the sales, service, fixing stuff has
stopped. I am now under a 5 year Non-Compete clause. Because
of the "Walk Away" plan the multiple was 20X. Would have been
a bit higher if I was going to stay on as a part-time employee
and stuff. For me, being an employee and following other's rules
WAS NOT something I could easily handle. I am far too Independent
thinking!!

Presently I am cleaning the lettering off my van. It is a slow process.
Hot Air gun, plastic scrapper, glue dissolve solution, lots of rubbing
does a very good job. The van is a '03 E-150 with 233,000 miles, good
inspection till January 2024. Maybe worth $999.00?? Will need to empty
out all of the S-T-U-F-F and then see if I can find some junk yard that
will want to take it off my hands. ;-(

As for checking in here on A.S.A??
I will be looking in daily as I have been for Soooooooo long..........
I will add comments and contribute as desired!!

As I see it the next on the list will be Jim. I am sure he is already
processing the challenge. Jim, be sure to get all your Ducks Quacking
properly. But, don't expect them ALL to cooperate fully, all the time!!
It may be best to shoot that Duck and have it for supper ranter than
trying to get it follow your desires. :-)

Later,

Les
