Re: BRINKS MAYBE UP FOR SALE REAL SOON

Guess you haven't used Usenet much.

Yep, it's faster, the reponses are on top, most of the thread is contained
BELOW ... you don't have to read it but it's there for context IF you need
it should a thread get split or partially expire and disappear.

If you've been following a conversation you DONT need to scroll...if your
memory sucks and you do...then ginko biloba may be prescribed.

You don't find it incredibly annoying to have to scroll down on every
message to see the reply hidden there?

Lazy dunno...faster definitely! I work a lot of usenet groups everyday so
top posting is much more effective.

| I suspect it's pure laziness. Instead of making the reply easy for
everyone
| to read he types right on top because "it's faster". Well it may be
faster
| for *him* to post a sloppy reply like that -- but everyone else has to
work
| for it to find out what the fuck he's replying TO.
|
| Not only that - but the signature gets lazily inserted right at the top
making
| everyone *else* work to include quoted text since real newsreaders cut
| everything below the delimiter (-- ).
