Same here. I fought with them for a
long time. Both sides threw lots of
darts. I'm not asking for a truce and
I certainly don't expect friendship
from any of them. I've simply chosen
not to return any more flames.

Probably so. Years ago I found what must
have been the most extreme flame post
in all of Usenet history, copied and posted
it hear as a joke. This was a truly funny
flame though I've no idea who the author
was, much less who the intended target
was. It's been posted in numerous
newsgroups over the years. I think Mike
Sabodish even copied the post to his
website once. If you want a good laugh,
see if it's still around.

Well jeck, on that point they're probably
right. But I did put away my chainsaw
and leather mask a while back.

Hatred makes people think in strange
ways.

Thanks. I think everyone's a saint
compared to some rats and a rat compared
to some saints. :^)

They're bums, alright. But IMO they're
nothing compared to someone who would
send 3,200 of our finest people to die for
one man's ego and for a crooked group's
political gain.

I think it was some Briton who said,
"It does not take all kinds. There simply
are all kinds."

Having spent years volunteering in prison
ministry, I've seen some pretty rough
characters.

ABIK, Jim has not posted anything
remotely close to a flame in a while.
It's not likely we're ever going to be
friends, but I've decided not to say
anything nasty to or about him. If
he follows suit, good.

That's unfortunate. The reality is (and
anyone who has gotten to know me can
confirm this) I'm a very easy-going person.
I like most people I meet and I'm usually
open for anything fun to do as long as
it doesn't hurt anyone.

Until I got sick I always thought I had
until forever to do the things I want to
do in this life. Then all of a sudden I
found out I might not have all that long
and it gave me a whole new perspective.
So, I'm doing exactly what you just said.
In a few weeks I'm throwing another
huge, all-night party for my wife and a
bunch of our friends. Every chance I get
we're planning to travel. Next year we'll
visit Paris, Rome, Naples and Venice.

Thanks.

That's really sad, but I can tell you that
what he is doing for her (even though
it's draining him now) will give him
something to hold onto when it's over.
After a while the mind heals itself by
remember the good things -- tender
moments, shared love in the face of
all the bad.

Yep.
