It may well have been sanctioned.  Nonetheless,
I consider that sort of thing very dangerous.  We
already have major problems in the Glades due
to alien vegetation (no, not that kind of alien, G)
that was originally introduced to control other
things.  Generally speaking, any time people
try to improve on what "nature" does, they screw
it up.
