Most of the strip malls I've seen are one long building which should present
no problem.  Those can often be protected with a partitionable system and I
have done just that on occasion.  The problem is with separate structures.

In a multi-tenant structure there shouldn't be a problem.  Sorry if I wasn't
being clear.
