Check with your local fire department,  they may have a library of NFPA
codes you can search through.
You also might look up the local Life Safety officer and pick his code
understanding.
Our local FD  is always happy to have someone come by and use their
library..
You might also look up any local electrical contractors they might have the
codes you need to review..
