We have for many years now worked a system where the further away a customer
is the higher the contract/callout charge.
Was based on straight line mileage away from the depot.
Payment for engineers is fixed for up to a certain distance, but any job
over that distance full travelling time is paid at normal hourly rate.
Obviously your own circumstances would dictate the distance increments and
charges involved.
