Hi Frank,

Not been following this sorry, but all looks ok to me if understand it
correctly.

But just a thought on max menu, if the lcd is sending out a message on
up/down that exceeds the highest menu value for the given menu then if
determinators just ignore it then nothing would happen (i.e. screen would
stay the same?). Though I gues if they pressed it several times they'd have
to press several times the other way - hence your warning message.

Or possibly have an extended osd schema that includes a 'maxmenu' item that
the lcd could check against?
