xPLRioNet beta v3.4b released

  • Subject: xPLRioNet beta v3.4b released

Hi all,

Latest xPLRioNet beta is at www.xplhal.com (this will be the last update
containing the streams.xml and osd.xml files - unless they get changed)

This update has 3 main changes:

a) Removed artist name from album listings

b) Changed scanner to identify where an album of the same name isn't the
same album (requires a Purge & Scan to fix up database).

c) Added the option to display album art cover as thumb nails in album
lists

To activate thumbnails add a line to xplrionet.xml as follows:

<albumthumbs enabled="Y" filename="folder.jpg"
width="40" height="40"
album="jpg" />

This line is identical to the existing coverart line, and the parameters
mean the same things. So if you have different settings in the coverart
line, then change the albumthumbs to match - other than the width/height of
course which shouldnt be too big (or they wouldnt really be thumbs). If you
want to make web access faster then an alternative to having the coverart
resized to thumbs is to create a smaller version of each cover art file and
call it thumbs.jpg (or something) and change the above line to
filename="thumbs.jpg".

If you are updating from v3.4 you just need the xplrionet.exe, and also a
new file called blank.jpg which needs to go in web\images folder.

Regards
Tony
