I recently signed up with my local FabLab. I paid =C2=A35 to be trained up
=
in the use of their laser cutter (which I=E2=80=99d used a couple of times
=
previously under supervision, so had a head start but it=E2=80=99s a piece
=
of cake).

Rather than trying to hide the layers, make a feature of them. Put a clear
=
layer between two white layers. For fun (and to eliminate any simplicity
in=
herent in the design), see about edge illuminating the clear layer.

I=E2=80=99ve actually been wondering if a laser cut acrylic solution might

be workable, 3 4mm layers, that actually replaced the switch cover itself,
=
the screw layout on a standard UK light switch is a known fixed quantity.
