Anyone got a 3D printer?

Has anyone got (or properly played with) a 3D printer?
Obviously we're all tempted to buy one and are looking for a reason to do
so
but I was just thinking whether it would be feasible to use one to 3D print
up some blanking plates that would either screw onto (or blutak over) the
existing lightswitch when using Philips Hue so that the switch couldn't
accidentally be turned off *AND* at the same time could provide a mounting
position for one (or two) of the wireless dimmer switches so that they
become valid light switch replacements.
