RE: Z-Wave modules with low energy bulbs
Thanks Joseph,
Doing a check on the internet, it appears that it happens because the
design
pulls a tiny load through the bulb or whatever is connected to the output.
Not sure why it does this but this appears to be what the old X10 units
also
did.
I can see the need for this for systems with no neutral as you need to
power
the electronics but with an application device which has a connection to
both live and neutral and switch with a relay, this would be redundant.

Can't really help, but I've had this problem without any of the z-wave
stuff - just a normal switch. Never solved it, but sparky assured me it
wasn't dangerous. You can find all sorts of theories as to why it
happens online; some suggest some brands of bulb are more susceptible to
it than others, others blame induced currents from the wiring acting as
a radio antenna, or capacitive coupling.
