Re: Re: Solar PV ?

Marcus,

No problem. Yes, you can have a copy of the code, most of it is fairly
trivial and it's pretty well commented, so you should be able to rewrite it
in flat Perl pretty easily.
The difficult bit was working out where the bits of data that I wanted
where
buried in a binary blob that gets returned from the inverter after you
query
it and converting those bits into human readable numbers!
There are a few tools to convert the Perl to exes, but most cost money,
apart from PAR, which is supposed to be pretty good, but I've not managed
to
have a play with it yet.
I'll see if I can sort it out tonight, but it may be tomorrow night, and
email it over to you.

I've been using MisterHouse for several years now, it's a bit heavy going
at
first, but now I find it fairly simple :) I used to have several Audrey's
too, all running Pete Flaherty's MisterAudrey firmware. Though I've just
about replaced them with Jogglers now. Now as neatly integrated, but a lot
faster, with higher res screens.

The data/graphs from PVOutput get better and better the more data you load
into it!

Lee

PS. One major tip with the RS485 interface - do as the manual says - use
shielded cable. I didn't and had problems over a 7 metre run. STP cable
cleared it all up.
