HI,

Just realised I hadn't introduced myself properly as yet.

I've been posting on the forums as Geps and been lurking on here for a
while now....I think nearly 5 years on and off(!)

I'm a undergraduate student at University of Birmingham studying Elec and
Elec Engineering. I'm currently on a industrial placement working as a
product design engineer tasked with automotive security systems (the OEM
ones...not the cheap ebay alarms you can get). Last project was
installation of a CarPC in my car and various other projects associated
with that.

I've exchanged on a 3 bed semi 1930s property in dire need of a refurb.
Completion has been set for 4th March. I'll be carrying out a full rewire,
replumb etc and moving the bathroom upstairs and opening up the kitchen.
I've ordered all the HA kit for the moment and will be starting off with
fully dimmable lighting system (including RGB in some rooms) and audio and
then working up to full automation.

I'm very keen to link up my car and house since they'll both have
computers.....so things like the house will know where the car is, audio
playing when I leave the car will be loaded and ready to continue playing
when you go into the house etc..

Looking forward to it!

Cheers,

Michael
